Graphic Design

Design that has a job to do

A logo is not a decoration. It is what customers see on a van, a receipt or a phone screen, before they have read a word about your business. We design identities built to hold up wherever yours shows up.

We work with businesses starting from nothing, businesses that have outgrown a logo made in an afternoon, and businesses with a mark they like but no system around it.

Our standard

Good design has to pass three tests, not one

Most identity work gets judged on taste. We judge it against three tests instead. Logic: what you do has to make sense for the sake of business. Magic: what you do must elicit an emotional response from someone. Metrics: what you do has to make a difference.

A route that fails any one of those three tests has failed, no matter how good it looks in a presentation, and we will say so before you pay for it.

What this looks like

  • It reads fine at full size but disappears at sixteen pixels or on a shirt
  • It is technically correct and nobody remembers it five minutes later
  • Nobody can point to anything that changed because of it
  • You got one flat file and no system to keep it consistent afterward

What you receive

Files you can use, not just a picture of a logo

A complete asset set, formats named, so anyone you work with afterwards can get on with it.

  • Corporate identity

Custom logo design, business card design, letterhead design and envelope design — the core identity set.

  • Digital asset set

Logo in full and simplified lockups, a favicon, a social image and a home screen icon, ready to use.

  • Print and collateral

Brochures, flyers, one-sheets, and vehicle or signage artwork prepared to a printer's specification, not a screen's.

  • Usage guidance

Colour values, type, clear space and the things not to do with the mark, so it survives contact with other people.

Straight answers

We will work until it is right, within a scope we agreed

We will not tell you revisions are unlimited, because that is not how this works and it is not what the agreement says. What we will tell you: the brief is where a project is won or lost, we present real alternatives rather than one idea dressed three ways, and two rounds of refinement is enough when the brief was done properly.

  • One decision-maker
  • Real alternative routes
  • Two rounds included
  • Full asset handover
The five guarantees on the old site are gone. These three replace them.

How it runs

Five stages, the same order every time

Design projects go wrong for predictable reasons — an unclear brief, too many opinions arriving late, no agreed definition of finished. This sequence exists to prevent all three.

  1. Brief

We agree what the business does, who it sells to, what it must not look like, and who signs off — one named decision-maker, agreed at the start.

  2. Routes

We present distinct design directions, not variations on one idea dressed three ways, each with the reasoning behind it explained so you can choose with confidence.

  3. Refinement

You choose a direction and we develop it. Up to two rounds of content revision are included as standard, and further rounds are quoted, never absorbed silently.

  4. Production

Files are prepared to real specifications — print-ready artwork, correctly sized web and social assets, and the usage rules that keep the mark consistent.

  5. Handover

You receive the complete asset set in the formats listed, plus a walk-through of what goes where and how to use it correctly.

Common questions

Before you enquire

The questions we are actually asked, without the sales gloss. If yours is not listed, ask us directly — we will tell you plainly if we are the wrong fit.

Ask us directly

What happens to the files and rights when the project ends?

The specifics are set out in your written proposal, which is the governing document for any project. Our aim is to hand over a complete, usable asset set at completion — see what you receive above for the exact files and formats.

What if I don't like any of the routes shown?

Then the brief was wrong, and that is on us to fix. We will go back to the brief with you rather than push a fourth variation of something you have already said no to.

Can you work with a logo I already have?

Often, yes. Plenty of businesses have a mark worth keeping and no system around it — no colour values, no type, no usable files. Rebuilding the system around an existing mark is usually a smaller job than starting again.

Do you handle print production as well as design?

We prepare artwork to a printer's specification and can work alongside your printer or point you to one we have worked with before. Whether we manage production and billing directly depends on the project, and we will tell you upfront either way.

How does this fit with a website project?

Identity first, wherever possible. Designing a site around a logo that is about to change costs more than doing the two in order. If both are in scope, we sequence them together so the site is never reworked partway through. See web design.

No guaranteed outcomes. New World Web Solutions does not guarantee a specific business result, brand response or sales outcome from design work delivered under this page. What we commit to is the deliverables, the revision policy and the process set out in your written proposal. Outcomes depend on how the identity is applied, your market and factors outside our control.
